Junior Achievement, or JA, is an international not-for-profit organization, registered charity. Its primary mandate is to teach elementary, junior high and high school students the principles of business through practical, hands-on experiences.

The five programs currently offered by Junior Achievement of Newfoundland and Labrador help students develop a positive attitude about business and economics, strengthen interpersonal and leadership skills, develop an appreciation of life long learning and apply their talents in a risk-free, yet true-to-life business environment.

JA of Newfoundland and Labrador is currently operating in 75 public schools and 2 private schools throughout our province and serves 5,000 students each year. Over 270 individual community and business leaders lend their time and expertise to the Junior Achievement cause - shaping Canada's future.
